Dr Monique Damasco offers personalised care for your journey from planning your pregnancy through to your six-week post birth checkup. Monique understands pregnancy is a very exciting journey but it can also be extremely overwhelming. She recognises the need to care for both the physical and emotional wellbeing of all women in her care and is open to discussing the concerns and birth plans for all women in her care. By choosing to see Monique for your pregnancy journey you will receive continuous dedicated 24-hour specialist Obstetrician-led care by the same primary care-provider at either of two locations in Miranda or Kogarah, support in bi-lingual communication (English or Portuguese), and birth of your baby at any of Kareena Private, St George Private and St George Public Hospitals. In the event that I am away you will receive on call care from Dr Emma Chesterman https://www.dremmachesterman.com.au and Dr Kristina King https://www.drkristinaking.com.au.

General guide to your pregnancy journey:

  1. Pregnancy planning, optional reproductive carrier screening

  2. At your pregnancy diagnosis see your GP for a referral to see Dr Monique Damasco

  3. From 6 - 10 weeks book your first visit with Dr Monique Damasco; optional aneuploidy screening

  4. From 10 -14 weeks referral to aneuploidy/NIPT screening and early anatomy assessments

  5. From 14 - 18 weeks initial birth planning, pregnancy and results review with Dr Monique Damasco

  6. From 18 - 22 weeks referral to anatomy assessments

  7. From 22 - 28 weeks referral for gestational diabetes and other routine screening, and monthly pregnancy and results review with Dr Monique Damasco

  8. From 28 - 36 weeks fortnightly pregnancy and results review with Dr Monique Damasco

  9. From 36 weeks- birth, screening for Group B Streptococcus, review by the practice midwife and lactation support, birth planning, weekly pregnancy and results review with Dr Monique Damasco

  10. Birth to 6 weeks post partum care and practice midwife and lactation support, review with Dr Monique Damasco at 6 weeks and family planning.
